Andinobates supata
Andinobates supata
The Supata poison frog is among the most beautiful and endangered poison frogs, native to Colombia and recently recognized by scientists. With a highly restricted natural range, the species faces significant threats from habitat destruction caused by human activities, leaving it critically endangered and on the verge of extinction. To support its survival, efforts must focus on habitat restoration and captive breeding for population restocking. We are actively working on a conservation program in partnership with government agencies and non-governmental organizations, such as the Active Conservation Alliance, dedicated to saving this species and preserving its delicate ecosystem.
