Andinobates daleswansoni
Andinobates daleswansoni
This vibrant species is endemic to Colombia, thriving exclusively in the cloud forests of the Andes Mountains at altitudes of up to 2,400 meters above sea level. Adults reach a maximum size of ¾ inches and deposit their tadpoles in small pools like bromeliads they found in the forest. In response to the increasing threats to its habitat, we are partnering with local authorities in Colombia to implement conservation measures, ensuring this species’ survival and protecting it from extinction through active habitat management and restoration initiatives.
